Kung Fu Panda 3 movie review

Directors: Alessandro Carloni, Jennifer Yuh Nelson (as Jennifer Yuh)

    Writers: Jonathan Aibel, Glenn Berger
Stars: Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, Dustin Hoffman

In Kung Fu Panda 3 Master Oogway has left and Po is left to take over the training of the furious 5 .
Of course poor Po feels he is not up to the job. He feels humiliated, that he’s let everyone down. He feels he has nothing to offer; even as the Dragon Warrior.

    Kung Fu Panda 3 Review

“If you only ever do what you can do, you’ll never be more than you are.”

Shifu tries to tell po that there is more to himself than just the ferocious warrior.  “Am I the son of a panda? The son of a goose? A Dragon Warrior?..it turns out I’m all three.”

General Kai returns to the mortal realm in search of Oogways students to teach them his training methods. We also learn more of master Oogway’s past through Kai.

As usual Jack Black injects his own personal humour into Po’s character which brings excellent comic relief. I love that Po has been through so much but has never lost that element of his personality. He still has just as much excitable enthusiasm for the enemies who are sent to kill him! Such a loveable dork!

He meets his birth father who wants Po to learn about who he really is. Po spent years learning to be the Dragon Warrior but now he has to learn to be a panda!
In turn he must teach them Kungfu. An experience that reflects Shi-Fu’s frustration when trying to teach Po.

As you’d expect from Dreamworks the rendering and animation is amazing. Po’s village is just utterly stunning.

    Kung Fu Panda 3
I’m always amazed at how believable Po’s character animation is. They manage to make him look heavily but weightless at the same time.  Kung Fu Panda 3 is just beautiful from start to finished. Definitely one for all the family to see and enjoy.
