    life is strange review
Please note: The first episode of Life is Strange game is now free on all platforms but please don’t judge the game by the first episode! It’s the poorest of them all and the game doesn’t really get interesting until episode 2.
You play as Max Caufiled, a teen attending Blackwell high school. She finds herself witnessing an incident between a student and her friend. It is here that she discovers that she has the power to manipulate time. Her and Chloe embark on a mission to find out what happened to Chloe’s friend Rachael.

I love point and click games but they can often be restrictive. Life is Strange combines exploration with point and click which is why I loved it so much. The game prevents you from doing too much exploring outside of certain areas but there is usually more than enough in any one area to keep the player interested. There are items to discover, clues to find and photo’s to take.
The choices you make in the game will affect the story line at various points which means there is plenty of motivation to play this game more than once.
It’s difficult to talk about the story without spoiling the game but I will say that I have seen both endings and both kind of left me feeling flat. I feel like some things were left unexplained. There has been confirmation of a second season so perhaps then our questions will be answered.
I found the character development in the game to be excellent. I was totally engrossed in the story and now I have a terrible game hangover!
Hardcore gamers will enjoy the more relaxed pace of Life is Strange but people who don’t like gaming should also give this a go as they will love the characters and the story line.

    • Interesting read, Im not a gamer, never really got into it, but I think the whole evolution of the gaming industry in general is just fascinating, how now in 2016 we have games like this, compared to the arcade games of Pac Man from years ago

It has been ages since I played games, and yes, I did play a lot of games before. Simply looking at the photo you posted and the plot of the game, I'd say this is the kind of game I could go for. I like good graphics, one. Plus I like games that makes me think too.

If there is a trailer of the game, would be nice to embed in your post too.

    • I used to be a crazy gamer. I still love to play games. It is just that I am not able to give much time to gaming now. But this game sure sparks an interest. I would love to try it out!

I love playing video games! I used to play Japanese RPGs all the time in college. I haven't played so many point and click games, but I do think the graphics on Life is Strange look nice. I'm sorry the ending didn't live up to your expectations.

I had a friend who used to play Japanese imports. There was no English so I don't know how she even followed them! They looked good though!

I like point and click games, I used to play a lot when I had time – long, long time ago. The plot of the story sounds interesting, I would like to try it out sometimes.

Interesting story line. My boyfriend is into a lot of games, and he showed me something of different plot. I also love how clear the graphics is. I thought the bottom photo was photography!

Wow! Wouldn't it be awesome if we could manipulate time? It's been awhile since I played a game but this sounds interesting.I love games that have intriguing storylines.

    • I am a gamer and I heard a lot about this. I am planning to play this on weekend too. Thank you for the heads up about the Episode 1. It makes me even more excited reading this!

    • This is just a point and click game? Wow! The graphics are so amazing! I love playing point and click games (mostly flash games) and I am big fun of Psionic3D point and click escape games mainly because of their impressive 3d graphics.. I will surely put this game on my list! Thanks

I absolutely love this game! I've played this non stop until the beginning of episode 5 or so…and that's when I accidentally deleted my save file (not even joking). It has been a while now, and life / work got in the way, so I didn't really get back to it, but I really want to. And actually having lost the save file is not so bad so I can make my choices all over again.
I think it's very smart for a kind of 'point and click' game since the impact of the choices are very well made, there's lots of room for exploration, and the puzzles are quite clever too (if you compare this to telltale games, then this is super interactive).
Anyway, I am going to stop geeking out now.
I have a blog with my boyfriend where we blog about videogames sometimes too, feel free to have a look if you have a chance 🙂 http://louderthansilver.com

The game sounds interesting. this reminds me of how i love playing video games way back then. I just wish to be able to free my schedule, some time.

    • I've been keeping track of this game. I've read a synopsis on wiki about this game and has since been really interested on playing it. Where did you play it? Anyway, the graphics looks amazing and the gameplay is simple but really immersive. I've heard they're making a series adaptation of this? Would be totally interesting, 🙂

I played it a couple of weeks ago on PC. Yes they are making a TV series but I'm not sure how that will work out seeing as there are two different endings!
